[iOS] Is updating happening or not?

In the past, when I opened Calibre Companion, I could see a list of my library. Now the app goes right to the Connect screen, to connect with Calibre on my laptop.

I started the Connect process, but can't tell if anything is happening or not. I don't know how to get to the screen in Calibre Companion that shows my list of ebooks.

I am using a Macbook Air and iPad.
