For my purposes a door stopper novel is any hardback or paperback that are over 1000 pages in length. Thus it is possible for the paperback to qualify while the hardback does not. What are the best door stopper sci-fi and fantasy paperback door stoppers. These books are so big they could be used to prop open a door. Some of the candidates that come to mind are Robert Jordan, Terry Goodkind and Brian Sanderson. However for my purposes I disqualify Robert Jordan since he is dead. For my purposes the author must be aliver and writting.
