Need advice and support :(

This evening I found my used K4NT's screen broken. I'm really shocked because I was keeping it in a book-styled fake-leather case and a EVA hard one when not using it. It did not fall. :bigcry: Last time I used it was yesterday till about 12am :(

When I received it, last year, I jailbroke it and was happily reading epubs etc since then. But some days ago it started freezing and I had to re-start. It happened 2-3 times (when on Librerator or reading a mobi) and now... :bigcry: :bigcry:
Has it happened to anyone here? :(

Can't really decide what to do: going for the Icarus Illumina or buying another used one.. Or even trying to replace the screen (-> is it a really difficult task?) -____-
The only thing I care about are the page-turning soft keys or buttuns.

Never broke a pc or a smartphone, but this is the second ereader that I found broken - the first one was my boyfriend's K2 which I mistreated... -___-
