Home page, Library blank after updating T68

I have a T68 whose software had not been updated for a long time, since 2014. I upgraded to V1.8.2 and now the home page and library show no content. On the home page, there are only the words "Now Reading:" and "Recently Added" followed by white space. On the Library, there is only white space. When I recan and rebuild the Library, it gives me a brief message indicating that it is finding the correct number of ebooks I have on the device, they just don't display in the Library. Fortunately, I can still load ebooks into the Books folder, and access them that way. Anyone know what is going on? Thanks.
