Romeo is a 19 year old young man from Jackson, MI. He was born with spina bifida, a disablity that has never allowed him to walk. He can drive with the use of special hand controls, but has a hard time loading his heavy wheelchair in the car by himself. On Monday Feb 27th, Romeo left his home to go meet his mother at the store to take home a few groceries that she had purchased on her lunch break. Because he was only going to be gone for about 10 minutes, he left his wheelchair in the front yard, because he struggles to get it in the car by himself. When he returned home, he discovered that his wheelchair was gone. A neighbor saw someone in a truck pull up to the house a take the wheelchair. Unfortunately, not knowing the situation, the neighbor did not stop the man from taking it. |
