Kindle for Windows 11 1.0.18632 Issue

I recently got a new notebook computer and have loaded Kindle for Windows 11 version 1.0.18632.

So far, I've read a few Kindle Unlimited ebooks and everything went well. I was able to return them and download a new one without problems.

The crazy problem I have is that I downloaded a book today, and I'm able to read it, even use the audio reading feature so I can "read" while doing my crochet. The problem I've run into is that, the page number and the percent read never move forward. I've exited the book and exited K4PC yet, when I get back into the book, my last read location wasn't saved. :( The page/percentage number doesn't change whether I use the audio read feature or turn the pages by clicking on the page forward or backward buttons.

I really want to be able to read or listen to the audio and exit and resume at where I left off when I stopped. I didn't have this problem with the other ebooks I got so I don't know what might be causing this issue.

I've logged out of the Kindle app and rebooted my notebook, and gotten back in and it still doesn't move the pages forward. The only thing I can think of doing is returning the ebook and then redownloading it so see if I got a messed up download.

Anyone have any ideas??
