Hello + new Apple-platforms reader (Torika) — looking for honest feedback

Hi all — long-time lurker, finally posting. I’m Marin, building Torika, a library manager and reader for Apple devices.

The plan: one app, Universal Purchase across Mac, iPad, and iPhone — buy once, read everywhere, your library + progress syncs via your own iCloud (no Torika cloud account, no analytics weirdness). Mac is the furthest along (TestFlight beta now); iPad is in active development; iPhone is on the roadmap.
It started as a manga / light novel reader (that’s where most of my own library lives), but it handles EPUB, CBZ, CBR, CB7, and PDF — anything in your folder, Torika picks it up as a series-aware library. SwiftUI native, no cloud lock-in, your files stay where you put them.

I’d love feedback from folks who’ve spent years on iPads with Apple Books / KyBook / Marvin / Yomu — what you wish existed, what’s missing, where the polish should land. The Apple platforms have a thin lineup of well-designed readers and I want Torika to feel right at home on a power-reader’s iPad.
TestFlight (Mac) open now; iPad TestFlight coming soon — happy to share the link or add you to the iPad waitlist via DM. Free during beta, paid eventually, no piracy stance.

Thanks for any time you give it.

— Marin
