Recommendations for cheap HD audio players with audiobook support wanted

Unfortunately, my SanDisk Clip Jam died. I've found some cheap Chinese players, but according to most reviews, they tend to ignore metadata entries and play tracks by modification/creation date or by file name and don't remember the position of the last track when the player is turned off, which makes them useless for audio books.
