Unable to close the dictionary (widget) from plugin patch

I have created a plugin patch for the VocabBuilder plugin.. essentially patching the "onDictButtonReady" function.

The problem i am having is closing the dictionary window upon tapping the "Add to vocabulary builder" button -- to save the extra "close" button tap to close the widget.

DictQuickLookup:onClose() crashes KOReader.

So.. what needs be done beyond the "require" for its module? Or is some other approach needed to close the dictionary?
