Irish born Beatrice Grimshaw had an extraordinary life. Starting working for a London newspaper, she was given the task of travelling to the South Pacific and writing a series of travel articles; she criss-crossed the area, and eventually settled in Papua, near Port Moresby. She became, improbably, a best-selling romantic/adventure novelist, and a partner in copra and tobacco plantations. She supported herself very successfully all her life, and in the mid-1930s, when she was in her mid-60s, retired to New South Wales.
She published about 40 books, mostly novels, and four or five volumes of short stories. Of these, only one, "The Valley of Never-Come-Back", is readily available (free on MobileRead).

This collection is new, and was collected from the source given under each story title in the text. She favoured longer than average stories, 4-500 words.
Naturally there is no vintage cover; this one I created.
