Convert Google Docs Fan Translated Novel to Kindle

Anyone know the best way to get this onto my Kindle?

Send to Kindle hates the Google Docs generated EPUB, so I've been downloading the MD file and converting that to EPUB with Calibre and then uploading that to StK, but wondering if there's a better way since markdown loses some formatting.
