NA4C: long press on a word does not open the dictionary

I have just received my new NA4C, sideloaded a random book via Calibre, and opened it with the native reading app, thinking that long pressing on a word while reading would open the built-in dictionary.
Well, that does not work and I have yet to figure out what I am doing wrong... Any help?
