I am using calibre 7.20, Windows 11. I just added 4 books. When I sort the library view, two books insist on sorting (series) as if the tweak were set to 'strictly_alphabetic'. The title even insists on maintaining 'strictly_alphabetic' and the metadata insists that for this book, 'strictly_alphabetic' is correct. See attached for examples. I have done the following.
Removed books and readded books after a restart. Switched tweak from library_order to strictly_alphabetic, everything acts correctly in strictly_alphabetic. I switched back to library_order and those two books still maintain the series sort as if the library is set to strictly_alphabetic. I even ran library maintenance for lack of anything else to try. It was fine.
After 15 years of using this software, I'm confused. Any suggestions?
