Thank you all, beautiful community of Calibre. You created, developed and maintained a software program that is appreciated by many people.

However, when trying to compare e-book-readers, mainly because i am advising people for ICT (hardware and software) and I respect them, i do have some issues here.

I came upon the recommendation video on the Calibre site, that completely turned me off.
I thought that the "libre" in "Calibre" stood for >free< as in the french and spanish word for free, this "libre" is recognized in my culture (dutch) as standing for >free<, as it is in most european languages and in many other cultures.
Allmost every english-speaker, inside or outside the UK and North America or elsewhere, associate "libre" with the history of freedom.

However, "Calibre" as a community/website does not want to be associated to freedom!?

In your main propaganda video "Calibre", though spelled as "Calibre", is pronounced as [Kellibur] or [Kelliber], not as [Kallibre] or [Kallibré]. This is in my opinion, an extreme sign of disrespect (mainly to people who are french- or spanish-speaking or respect liberty and who do not have English as their first language) or who use the "Latin" alphabet).

This is bad. You don't respect all of us :
* some of who do not have English as first language,
* who like the concept of "libre software" and
* those of us who are inspired by the "Liberté" idea of the "French revolution".
We are not one block ... But you disrespect us all.
