Clara 2E Sideloaded mode gets disabled on its own?

Hi all.

I really like to use my device in sideloaded mode, as I mostly import books from Calibre and I have no use for the home screen. So I've done in the config file and all works as intended.

However, I've noticed that after a few days, my device will revert to non-sideloaded mode and I'll get the Home tab back.

Does anybody know what might be triggering this? I do have my Kobo account configured on the device, as well as my Pocket account (which I use a lot), and I'd prefer not to remove them unless absolutely needed. But I don't know if that has anything to do with it.

I also have NickelMenu installed in case that's relevant.
