I was able finally, following a tutorial here, to update to the latest firmware (3.5) and then root the tablet.
It seems there's no custom ROM available (will there ever be?) and I don't really know how to take advantage of the rooting:
I would like to be able :
- to exclude any association with the onyx servers (phoning, registration etc)
How do I go about it? I followed a tutorial with a firewall involved but didn't work it seems
-is there any chance to bring the firmware to a sorr of vanilla state? I mean as if it was a slim no onyx stuff?
-, could someone list what I can really do with the tab rooted?
