Cannot use custom dictionary in android kindle app

Hi,
I purchase a dictionary from dictionaries.io (and also tried the same with some other free dictionaries) and followed their steps, I can select the new dictionary in the list of available dictionaries when I lookup a word in a book, but when I do so it shows me this error:

I googled it quite a bit and it seems that I am not the only one having this problem. But I was not able to find a solution.

I have read that you can replace the default dictionary with a custom one, maybe that can work in my case? Could anyone point be to a thread that describes the procedure for android app (I have seem one for desktop app)?
Or maybe an older version of the app works better?

Does anyone successfully use a custom dictionary with android Kindle app?

Android version: 13
Kindle app version: 8.89.3.0
