Forma Kobo Forma Backlight Staying on when Sleeping

Is there any solution for this?

Firmware is up to date as of today but its persisted through the last few updates aswell.

Basically if I let the Forma fall asleep while using the backlight it will display the cover of the book Im currently reading and require a press of the power button to wake up just like normal sleep mode but the light will be on permanently at the same level I had it while reading draining the battery.

I dont use a case, any help appreciated thanks.
