Adding empty book - can't enter author name

Hello,

i have a strange behavior with Calibre 6.7.1.

I have created a new profile with my library. When I want to add an empty book, everything works and I can enter an author name.
When I restart Calibre (with the same configuration) and add an empty book then the input field does not work and I can only delete / enter a single character in the input field or can select an existing author. (Screenshot)
When I restart Calibre with debug modus the input field for author works and I can enter an author name.
