Mystery and Crime Thierry, James Francis: Adventure of the 11 Cuff Buttons; 1918; v1; 24Feb2022

Early (1918) take-off of Sherlock Holmes, longer than many at nearly 40,000 words, or almost a Perry Mason length; Hemlock Holmes and Watson, after 3-year sojourn in New York, return to London in time for this perplexing case. Somebody is stealing the valuable diamond studded cuff buttons of the Earl of Puddingham; of the dozen buttons, only one is left.

Thierry (died 1944) is an American writer whose Holmes and Watson have become thoroughly Americanised... One for collectors of Holmesiana.
