If a book has no chapter numbers, you can spare yourself from all the manual counting by:

- opening in ebook-viewer.exe;
- opening the TOC;
- right-clicking on the TOC and copying all the entries;
- remove all the unwanted entries (e.g. copyright pages)
- putting it through a line numberer
