MOBI Format Taking Days to Convert to PDF

I am trying to convert a book to pdf with Calibre on Linux, and it has been at the message "Completed markup transformation" and been at 70% completion for over 2 and a half days now. Is this normal and should I wait it out, or has something gone wrong and should I kill the process?
