I'm a long-time lurker, first-time poster. I hope I'm doing this right. I belong to a couple book clubs and we switched to ebooks after the pandemic started. Now I have a long list of books we've read. Some are better than others but most of these are 99 cents and made for good conversation in our club. I posted these at another website but I think they belong here too.
The Takeaway Men: A Novel
This one is a little darker so grab a glass of wine and a box of tissues. This is the story of a family of Holocaust survivors who emigrate to the US and how they deal wih life and their past in a new country. There's some mystery and history in here but mostly it's a story of family and how they learn to live with their tragedies.
