books stored where?

On an Android phone, using Google Chrome to acccess a Calibre server, where are downloaded books stored? Are they accessable by other apps?

At home, I downloaded several books to read while away. Everything was fine, until I accidentally hit home, and of course I go to the Chrome home page, and can no longer access the Calibre server so cannot get to he books I downloaded.
