Hello,
I add *.html files from a web-site, downloaded for off-line reading, to Calibre. The adding process takes a long time and when finally done the resulting zip file in the Calibre library is around 200 times bigger than the original .html file (30 Kb -> 6 Mb). Even with all the embedded images of the .html the added file shouldn't exceed 100 Kb, while the contents of the zip file in the Calibre library includes almost ALL the other .htmls of my offline web-site.
I need the htmls for conversion to Kindle format and now it takes too much time to do that (while previously the added zip files' size corresponded roughly to that of htmls'). It seems the adding mechanism/plugin includes the linked files into the library file, so the output .mobi file becomes a big mess. Can this be avoided or otherwise fixed? Thank you.
