Titles don't match

I deleted some books from my Kindle because I found other additions that had more information. I try to send the new books to my Kindle using Calibre. However, the old titles remained. I tried restarting my Kindle. But it made no difference. I think the problem is that the old titles are not actually deleting from the Kindle memory, but I don’t know what to do. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks
