Naming Ceremonies by Chip Livingston, himself part-Creek (Wikipedia), is his collection of literary fiction short stories & non-fiction essays exploring themes of both LGBT and Native American identity, free for a limited time courtesy of LGBT specialty publisher Lethe Press (Wikipedia).

This contains works reprinted from literary journals and publications such as Apalachee Review and Blithe House Quarterly, including one piece which was nominated for a Pushcart Prize.

Currently free (and DRM-free) @ Amazon (available to Canadians & in the UK and pretty much everywhere else worldwide, since this is being done via the KDP Select exclusive-or-else program)

Additional works by the author—including short stories, non-fiction, and poetry—can be read for free online via the links on the author's website.

And this has been the selected 3rd (non-repeat) free ebook thread of the day.

A little by default, but it's always nice to get some more diversity in the viewpoints and corresponding life experiences (or fictional equivalents thereof) of stuff we're offered. :2thumbsup

Enjoy!

Description
In the sixteen short stories and essays that comprise Naming Ceremony, Chip Livingston examines the worlds we create by exploring the names we are called and those we call ourselves. Livingston’s characters name the terms that confirm their individuality and validate their roles in family, culture, politics, and sexuality.
