Troubleshooting Kindle paperwhite links in google aren't working

When I click links after doing a google search in the experimental browser on my Kindle paperwhite (version 5.12.4), the pages don't load. I see the loading bar, but the url doesn't change and the page stays on google.

I can access bookmarks without a problem, it's just when I try to open webpages in google.
