handwritten annotations to epub on max 3

How do you save/export handwritten annotations to an epub file/book
on the Onyx Boox Max 3?

I presume this would involve conversion to a pdf file.

Using scribble on an epub file there does not seem to be a way of saving the annotated file to the file system.
