I've uploaded a book to my Kindle Paperwhite, using Calibre and made some highlights using the device. Then I wanted to download the book back to my PC as a file where the highlights made on device are seen as highlights in the file. So I connected Kindle to the PC, opened the book in Calibre viewer and happily found all my highlights there, marked in yellow. And then I saved this file in a separate directory on my PC, disconnected Kindle, opened the saved file, and found my highlights disappeared! And then, whatever way I tried to open that book in Calibre again, including re-loading it from Kindle, it never showed me the highlights. But on the device, they are still on place. Very strange.
Does anybody know where the problem might be and how to download an ebook file with highlights from Kindle?
