Overdrive duplicate problem

I've had my Clara a couple of weeks and this is the second time this has happened. When I synced the reader one (not all) of my library books got duplicated. The old copy can no longer be read. If I try to open it I just get a screen offering me options to Buy Now or Read Preview.

I can open and read the new copy but it doesn't have any bookmarks or annotations that were in the first copy. It just opens to the title page and I have to figure out where I had left off.

This seems random since it hasn't happened every time I sync.

My has this happened to anyone else?
