Action Reeve, Arthur B: The Stolen War Secret (1914), v1

Published in "Adventure Magazine" in December 1914, but not subsequently in book form, this short novel (42,000 words) tells of a spy ring in the earliest months of the first world War, intent on the theft of a secret device for radio-controlling military aircraft (predicting military drones!).

Craig Kennedy, the scientific detective, is soon involved.

The cover is made up from an illustration in "Adventure" magazine showing a test of the remote controlled aircraft.
